Writing a massive study must be much more tedious and time consuming without searchable pdfs. Even though I’ve taken notes and highlighted passages its usually quicker to find them by searching pdfs. As a bonus sometimes the searches turn up passages I forgot or missed like this one which I think shows the interesting relationship between necessity, contingency and the necessity of contingency in capitalism as it relates to its endemic crises:
