Reproduction on the cheap.

Here Marx some important elements of social reproduction that cost capital nada:

“The natural growth of population is one of the results of reproduction; it is firstly itself accumulation (of human beings) and secondly the prerequisite of the process of accumulation (WITHIN CERTAIN LIMITS). It costs the capitalist nothing, no more than does the SKILL accumulated (piled up) by the working class through practice alone and TRANSMITTED as a result (advantages of labour) to its remplaçants.†a (See Hodgskin.†b) Finally there is the accumulation and reproduction of scientific knowledge, which determines the material process of production more or less directly. Scientific knowledge is the branch of objectified labour in which reproduction — the labour time necessary to “appropriate” it — stands in the lowest ratio to the labour time required originally in production.” MECW 34 P. 323
